How it works
Flexiebeads are designed to give the look of traditional hair beads—but without the discomfort, weight, and noise that come with hard plastic beads. Instead of acrylic, each bead is made from 100% medical-grade, non-toxic silicone, making them soft, flexible, and lightweight.
Here's how they work:
1. Braid or Twist the Hair
Start by creating individual braids or twists just like you normally would.
2. Thread the Bead On
Using a bead threader (or bead loader), slide the end of the braid through the hole in the Flexiebead.
3. Slide into Place
Move the bead to your desired position—whether that's near the end of the braid or stacked with other beads for a colorful design.
4. Secure the Bead
Wrap a small rubber band around the end of the braid, then slide the Flexiebead down over the rubber band. This locks the bead in place and keeps it from sliding off.
Why They're Different
Unlike traditional plastic beads, Flexiebeads are:
- ✔️ Soft and flexible
- ✔️ Lightweight, so they don't weigh down braids
- ✔️ Quiet—no constant clicking or clacking
- ✔️ Gentle on natural hair and edges
- ✔️ Waterproof and great for swimming, sports, and everyday play
- ✔️ Durable enough for kids' active lifestyles
Sizes
Flexiebeads come in two sizes to fit different hairstyles:
- Mini (5 mm hole): Best for smaller braids, twists, and finer sections of hair.
- Jumbo (7.5 mm hole): Designed for thicker braids, larger twists, and fuller hairstyles.
Why Parents Love Them
Traditional plastic beads can be heavy, noisy, and uncomfortable when children sleep or play. Because Flexiebeads are made from soft silicone, they provide the same fun, colorful style while being much more comfortable for everyday wear.
The idea behind Flexiebeads is simple: all the fun and style of hair beads—with more comfort, less noise, and a better experience for kids.
